Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

We chose One Design Werkz because we knew Gary and we trusted that the quality of his work is very good. Basically, Gary is very much focused on quality, which is the way that Old Street BakKutTeh also works. If you see Old Street Bak Kut Teh, the way we present ourselves, it’s also the same kind of mindset that I can see in Gary from One Design Werkz. We also found the renovation process hassle-free. The whole house was very well planned. We completed everything in a very fast 4-week period. Gary came here to plan every day. He met his contractors on the spot. I saw him here, he was very hands-on, and he drew a lot of sketches on he spot with a lot of people when he met up. Very demanding. I noticed also that he phone-called to his contractor to tell him precisely when he wanted this thing to be done. Impressive, because he knows that it was very important for us to finish the project on time. Amazingly, we stayed in our home during the renovations. Gary did his best to minimise the disruptions to our lives. As for value for money, we didn’t want to do a cheap design, so for the whole thing we spent about $600,000. It was real value for money. In fact, I got a lot more than I expected.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Always make sure you know what you want for your home. Tell the designer exactly what you expect to see. If the designer cannot guarantee they can deliver the kind of quality that you want, look elsewhere. Designers are everywhere, but only use someone you can fully trust.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

This ID was exceptionally good when it come to managing every minor details such as sudden change of design to suit the actual condition; also liaising with various party / contractors such as Air Con, Power Supply, Furniture Etc. I have peace of mind and could concentrate in my work as everything was handle to perfection by my ID. Also this ID always listens to our opinions and provide different ideas if our original opinions would have conflict or problem. Lastly even after handing over the house after renovation, in case if there was some problem, they will solve it immediately.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Future homeowner should have a concept idea of what their dream house should be, the select the ID which is both responsive and take great responsibility in their works. Cost could be an issue, however the person handling the renovation for your home must feel the same passion with you and not just doing their work / business.

Yes for sure, I will strongly recommend Mr Gary Wee. Gary is full of ideas, very creative and very responsible. Provide very good service and good work.

Always look for good designer company whom can provide: 1) good interior design theme recommendation 2) good workmanship 3) good communication / feedback channel
