Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Got to know interior designers Grace & Jasmine from Great Oasis through Qanvast. From the initial discussion of the plan to the final outcome, you can tell that they were very enthusiastic and sincere. Throughout the renovation, Grace was there to make sure that the works was smoothly carried out and that every flaw was rectified to our satisfaction. I would strongly recommend engaging Great Oasis for your renovation work.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Do not rush into getting your renovation work completed. Plan the schedule well with your IDs.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

My husband & I decided to engage Great Oasis for our first home renovation and certainly did not regret it! Right from the start Jasmine was very honest and took the time to understand our requirements in order to customise the contract/work order to our needs. She was very prompt and gave us a strong sense of assurance (which we didn’t get from other IDs) so we decided to go ahead with her. Additionally, her contract was very detailed and it was within our budget (yet not compromising on quality!) Throughout the whole process, Jasmine & Samuel were very hands-on and would always be around for almost everything. Both of them brought us to various places just to source for the tile that we liked and eventually with her persistence, we were able to secure our top choice (thanks to her actively calling the shop to check etc.) They were also there when we did the inspection after key collection & guided us with the aircon installation. Despite being first time home owners & doing renovation, we felt very comfortable and reassured while working with Jasmine. Along the way, she also shared with us practical ideas & tips for our new home..which she shared with us while doing up our 3D drawing etc. We’re greatly impressed by her eye for detail and the pride that she takes in her work (i.e. she was even more particular about the workmanship than we were) On top of all that, she guided us on selecting the right tap, sink, fans, lights & we also felt comfortable seeking her advice on other matters such as the furniture/curtains. Needless to say, everything went smoothly as per the schedule provided. Even after she “unofficially” handed over the house back to us, she kindly got her painter & technicians to come over a couple of times to help us touch up on the paint & install new lights (just because we requested & abit “niao” :P). Highly recommended to engage Great Oasis for their excellent workmanship & value for money! You’ll certainly have a peace of mind working with Jasmine & Samuel. Will definitely recommend them to our friends & family! We certainly had a great & fun experience renovating our new home together with Jasmine’s help (she even made sure the house renovation was complete & ready to move in before our newborn joined us) Thank you Jasmine & Samuel for all the hard work & everything!!

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Need not worry about anything. They are very responsive & helpful (don’t have to worry about asking them for help like sending them pics of sinks & taps via WA). The contract is very detailed and clear. There is also a quote for electrical works and variation orders will also be raised if there are changes to the renovation work etc. Don’t have to beat around the bush & be shy when talking to Jasmine as she’s also very frank and her designs are highly practical!

Yes, I would recommend my ID as overall I am quite satisfied with the final work. She was prompt with replies, gave good suggestions and would listen to my ideas.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

- Be careful with the selection of materials- choose those that would be easy to maintain (matte laminates may leave fingerprint marks which are hard to remove) - Have a completion date in mind and work with your ID to come up with a timeline

Yes, Jasmine and Samuel understood our requirements and managed to work within the budget without compromising on the quality. We are truly satisfied with their service and appreciate their efforts in building a cosy and nice home for us.

Jasmine and Samuel was attentive and gave us their honest and practical advice on the renovation works. They will also constantly update us on the progress of the renovation to put our minds at ease!

Yes, Jasmine understands what we want and is able to provide advice to us. She will tell us what are the things that are necessary to do and what are not.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Give ample time for renovation to be done. Do not rush through the whole process. Communication with ID is very important. Find an ID that you can click with and can understand what you want.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Jasmine made us feel very welcome in her office the day we met her. She is very candid in conversation and easy to talk to, and she showed us all the available options according to our budget.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Always check the carpentry properly before handing over. Jasmine was able to rectify some minor faults for us even after handover, which is great, but not all companies will do the same for you.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Jasmine was very flexible in accommodating our tight schedule. While she was able to achieve almost everything that we had asked for, she was also very honest about what would be feasible from her experience. She also really helped us stick to our budget, and where possible, even helped us reduce costs. Initially, we were wondering if we should have gone with a contractor instead, but after our experience with Great Oasis, we were very glad we went with this ID.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

If possible, try to have some idea of what you want before seeing the ID - though we picked Great Oasis on a friend's recommendation, it seems that many firms out there have particular style specialisations which may mean that they are experienced in carrying out those renovations. However, don't be afraid to take your ID's advice as they will probably have a better sense of what will work in your home.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

The project on my place was completed in April 2019. I met with 10 IDs and engaged Jasmine because of her friendly and approachable posture. She also gave me the impression of a hard worker as the quotation was sent on the same night after we met, great job there. The entire renovation process took about 7 weeks (we weren’t in a hurry to move in). My wife was 8months pregnant and i was very busy with work most days. She oversaw the renovation works on our behalf and gave us constant updates with pictures and reassuring messages.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Meet up with lots of ID and source for references to give yourself a better feel of what you really want your home to be like! Maximise storage space to make full use of the house ;)
