We decided to go with Interior Design Avenue because of their creative ideas, being able to translate our needs & execute what we have in mind. They were very dedicated and patience in getting to understand about our lifestyle first before helping us with the space planning. Highly experience and professional in their job, they always providing us with pragmatic advices, without losing sight of the asthetics and functionality. Even though there were some hiccups during the reno, they were very accommodating, never failed to go above and beyond to help us resolving problems. The end result definitely exceeded our expectations. We have enjoyed the whole renovation process very much as it was fuss free and engaging, overall it was a great experience working with the team. Highly recommended!

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Price shouldn't be the only deciding factor when comes to picking the ID. Go with someone who are not only attentive to your reno requirements, but also cares about understanding your lifestyle and living needs. & also someone whom you feel good working closely with.

"Sincerity and Dedication" Interior Design Avenue.....I can say this is a good or in fact one of the best reliable ID to be reccomended on the market, their professionism and dedication is what attracted me, given that I'm living in a 4 room bto, they are still able to do according to the expectations and needs, overall experience I would say it's fun and enjoyable, and we also learned a lot thru out. What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Trust your friends referral ! In market too many choice and if you don't know how to choose then just go for referral. Don't go with the ID firms with one or two years records. ID Avenue have been many years in the market with HDB registered licensed , this will give us more confidence on the ID & services.

Zann has done our kitchen cabinets and flooring 11 years ago and the work is still in good shape. It made us to contact her once again to do the rest of our inbuilts. I highly recommend ID Avenue for the renovation. Wonderful team and reasonable quote. There were no hiccups in the process.

Was recommended Dennis Mok (ID Avenue) from a friends of me. He is a patient, responsive and most importantly, his quote was reasonable without any hidden cost. Dennis responds to owner inquiries and request very prompt, will recommend to my relatives and friends.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Make sure the company have HDB licensed when you are doing comparison of quotation. And share your budget and idea with your ID. Overall, thanks to Dennis to recommend lighting, sanitary and air-con supplier with super good deal for my house.

Yes, Zann gives good recommendations on what can and cannot be done. She has good knowledge on functionality of the different ideas proposed by me, and we were able to work from there to find a perfect fit to the design. She communicated well with my family and myself and this is important when working with a designer. Overall very good experience and we were happy with the outcome.

To meet a couple of designers to brainstorm before committing to one. Most importantly is to have someone who is experience with the functionality of the design and also someone you can communicate with easily. Do your own research online and discuss with the designers and see who can give you the best ideas.

Very efficient, very responsive, value for money! Design is simple yet comfortable. The house is very dark and and uncomfortable, with Zann recommendations, it was a great make over. Very bright airy and comfortable. Great job!

renovation that suit your budget, and fast. Workmanship for the kitchen cabinets is very good with quality quartz table top. Importantly, she deliver the finish house in less than 3 weeks!

My family and I highly recommend the company. Throughout the renovation process, they were extremely efficient and are very willing to accommodate to our needs, moreover, they are very friendly. Hence, it was a very pleasant experience for us to work with them. The company gave us advices to improve on our houses without being too pushy, and is able to recreate what we envision our house to be like. What we appreciate most is how they are accepting to our requests willingly, and is very patient to run it through with us to finalise the ideal design. Know your budget and do not hesitate to communicate your wants and needs to your designer/contractor as early as possible. Be sure to do proper research (on the design, furniture, equipments) on your part as well, so as to know what would suit yourself and your family best as well. Always remember to double check on the progress of the renovation process too, in order to make necessary changes as early as possible.

Answer for question 1: Zann is a responsible and trustworthy person. My parents are very happy wit the service she provided and her workers are all experience staff. The good thing I like about her is she is very prompt in replying to our message when we have any queries or clarification.

I have heard lots of complain about bad contractor who are there to cheat innocent people. So before engage their service remember to check review of the company and see if there are any negative feedback. Check if the company is HDB registered and how many years they are in the industry.

We wanted a simple design for the kitchen at a good price and zann was able to render us good advice on the design, colour theme and dimensions of the stove.

Yes. Would definitely recommend Zaan and have done so to many of my family members, friends & colleagues! She is customers oriented and her service is always from the heart. She goes out of the way to do her best to fulfill her customer’s desires to give you the dream house you have always wanted!

As she is accommodating to your preferences and needs, you need to give her time to complete the reno. And it is good to have a budget and theme in mind so it will be easier for the both of you to work something out together.

Yes , we would definitely recommend our ID (Dennis). Despite our small budget for kitchen renovation, Dennis was able to work with our budget and come up with a design base on our request and themes as compared to other IDs who quote us exorbitant prices for the same amount of work done. He gave us practical advise and suggestion to suit our needs and help to cut cost. Queries were replied in a timely manner and was fast in giving us our quotation as well. Zann was a nice person to work with. She suggested some of the things we forgot about, and she advised us to not over spend. She asked us to do what is necessary for us and avoid the ones which are useless.

We did kitchen renovation. The workmanship is good. It took one month to complete the work, but it was worth it. Some of the workers were slow and not punctual but they did a good work. I would suggest to change some of the workers who are not helpful.

Yes as the designer was able to execute the design plan we had requested for our kitchen renovation swiftly. Zann had given us various options to consider on the style and designs available in the market and to customise the design accordingly with the latest trend. As such she was understanding and patient in adjusting to our requirements. She had done for us the renovation based on the minimal cost compared to quotations from other renovation contractors. Whenever we wanted her to come down on site for inspection or clarification she is very responsive. Zann helped us also in other matters concerning the renovation, e.g. applying for turn on/off utility supplies, informing our neighbours before start of renovation project, receiving on behalf for delivery of kitchen accessories ordered by us from 3rd party merchants. As such she was someone reliable and we could trust.

As part of the renovation plan, future homeowners need to list down their needs and wants first so that when they select a home designer, it will be easier for them to discuss the plans and design to match their ideal reno style. They should not rush the designer on the timeline as it will the affect the quality workmanship which might result in a less than expected end product. Further, they should go read online reviews and find out from family and friends on the interior designers they had appointed. Get some quotations from at least 4 to 5 firms so as to make a good comparison before deciding on a single best reno company. Future homeowners should always give interior designers some space though they might be responsive considering they do have other commitments like family and other projects in hand. This understanding surely will be a win-win situation and to expect a friendly deal.
