Yes. I will recommend MingHui as an interior designer. He is a designer who pays attention to details to his design. He placed effort and time to cater for our home design. He gave quality advices and recommendations when we were in need for ideas. MingHui also set high quality standard for his contractors and ensuring that quality workmanship is assured.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Our ID Yihan is a real great guy to work with who makes sure things goes as what we co-agreed upon and is honest and transparent to us throughout our engagements with him. Despite us having some itch to add on certain things he could had been a hard sales man and follow through with what we wanted but he made suggestion to do away with the add on we wanted to stay true to our design concept. Both Yihan and Luova takes their ware seriously and are concern with the quality of their renovation works. Could'nt ask for a better one. Thank you Luova and Yiham!

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Be at ease when engaging luova, they are concern with the quality of their works more then the owners themselves! And they do good follow up works, making sure we are satisfied till the end.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes as he provide us a clear explanation about the ID work and he recommended suitable theme. The follow from this ID is super good and the supplier he deal with also provided a very good support. He also provided extra work or services event thought it did not listed at the beginning discussion. Furthermore it is free of charge. Highly recommend to any other which would like to have a nice and beautiful home.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Get more ideas and think probably before make the decision. Do more research and get more quotes from different ID if you do not have any idea in your mind. If possible, get the ID to his current or on going project so that you can have some idea and also you can find out his/her quality of work.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes, I definitely would. From the beginning, when we met up with Minghui he was a very candid and friendly ID. This is the first house we are renovating so we had absolutely no idea how to go about it. He was patient and guided us to express what we wanted and he would put it down in design. I have heard from other friends how painful the process can be but I can gladly say that for us Minghui really took the bulk of the headache out of it. Everything was handled smoothly and he would not over-promise us if there was no way to deliver it. Besides that, he was open to our suggestion, though at times we were not sure if what we were saying was even feasible or doable. He was also available anytime of the day whenever we contacted him about our doubts or questions regarding what we might have earlier agreed on. In addition to that, the workmanship of his contractors are really up to standard and sometimes go beyond our expectation. When we express that the cost is a little too high, he does not compromise of it but instead try to let us see where the cost has gone to and that there is no way they can bring it down without compromising on the quality. This is something I really admire about this ID because we went to a few IDs and a lot of them would give us a lump sum discounted price for which we do not know where they have taken a cut on the quality. As they saying goes, you pay for what you get and we are very realistic people so we were definitely able to strike a nice balance with Minghui. Lastly, when he says he would deliver, we are rest assured that it would definitely happen. Take for instance our vinyl flooring which was supposed to be installed early December 2016, however the stock did not arrive as scheduled due to bad weather etc. We were panicking at that time because we have set the moving date and if the floor is not done by then, it would prove very inconvenient for us. Minghui assured us that even with the delay he would be able to hand over by first week of Jan as earlier promised. True to his word, the floor went up, the glass works and even the mirror was done before the agreed handover date and he did a walk through with me. Even after he has handed over to us, whenever we encounter an issue he would still dispense advice to us readily and help to solve it should there be any issue arising with the defect rectification by HDB or any renovation work which he was previously done.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

My first advice would definitely be, not to be too taken by some of the discounts and freebies which some of the IDs are offering. We did our own research on some of the freebies which they throw in, it is either not the price they stated or the products they throw in are really not the latest in the market. So definitely do not be tricked by these that they throw in and readily sign with the ID. Secondly, choose an ID whom you are able to get along with. Go with your gut instinct and if it’s telling you something isn’t right, you should really reconsider signing with that company. Lastly, set realistic timelines for the renovation works. Some people expect the renovation works to be completed in a month. It might be possible if you are doing some minor renovations, but definitely not if you are doing up the entire house. Some ID companies try to promise customers they can deliver within the tight timeframe. And since you have signed with them, there is no way for you to run even if the project overruns, so be realistic in your expectations.

Provides very innovative ideas. Very friendly and accommodating. Excellent service. No doubt one of the best ID I have ever come across. Two thumbs up! Highly recommended !

Decide on a theme. Research for ideas based on your intended theme. Work on timeline with ID. Take note of practicality of layout and placement of furniture.

Absolutely! It was smooth and hassle-free journey for us. ID Minghui was with us every step of the way by making sure all grounds were covered, to the tiny details.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Plenty of IDs to choose from out there, so be patience and ask for quotations to do the comparison. Have a budget and design in mind, and more importantly find an ID that you're comfortable with.

Yes. Service from my ID was good and prompt. He was helpful and approachable. He was very pro-active and provide updates to us during the renovation process. When issues arises, he will also arrange to rectify on priority.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Be sure of the concept you like for your new home. Think about all the storage you will need. Convey your needs to your ID. Give a timeline to your ID and always keep track that the renovation process is on schedule as per what is discussed. When carpentry is done, do check if there are defects that needs to be rectify.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

This is our first home and therefore it is important that my husband and I engage an ID whom we can trust and is able to share ideas with us and as well as providing us with prompt response. My husband and I met a few IDs and we finally decided to engage Yihan from Luova simply because not only does he listens to our ideas, but at the same time he will provide feedbacks to us if he finds that our ideas are not practical or the issues we might see in the future. He does not change our concepts even though there are challenges faced. For example, my husband and I requested to have Royal Blue theme and this colour makes it challenging to match colours in our entire house. He did not give up and worked together with us to find a suitable colour to match the Royal blue wall. The end results were satisfying. He is also fast in responding to our queries, my husband and I will call him whenever we are shopping for our furnitures so as to ensure that it fits into our theme. He show no frustration or attitude throughout our renovation process. Aside from that, he was very quick in resolving any issues that arise during the renovation process. He will whatsapp or call us to inform the issues that pops up and quickly provide us a few options to resolve the issues. We were so glad that we engaged him as he is always around on site to help to resolve issues. We do not have to worry a single thing and can entrust him to handle the renovation! During the handover of keys, Yihan walked us through our house and helped us to spot for any defects. He insisted to resolve the defects he found even though we think that it is acceptable and nothing major. We were very pleased with the quality of the renovation and the services. Definitely recommend Yihan to home owners who are looking for a trustworthy and efficient ID.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

It is very important that the ID is trustable and contactable. There are many unforeseen circumstances during the renovation and it is important that the ID visits your house to supervise the renovation. Many issues pops up when there is a failure in supervision. Aside from that the IDs must be contactable, so that you know the progress of your house. He/she can provide you some advisory before you purchase your furniture. For example, the size of your basin, your fridge and the colours of your sofa etc. Luova has certainly done well in these aspects.
